What is Club Voltaire Comedy?

A 50-seat stand-up comedy room in North Melbourne, running since 2003. Comedians from TV, the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and the Edinburgh Fringe, with a new lineup every week.

When are the shows?

Every Sunday at 7:30pm, for about two hours, with around ten comedians. Special shows are listed under Upcoming shows.

What time do doors open?

7pm.

How much are tickets?

$10, plus Eventbrite's booking fee.

Is there a minimum age?

Yes, 15+.

Is seating reserved?

No. Come early for the best seats. With only 50 seats, there's no bad one.

Can groups book together or reserve a table?

You can book together, but seats and tables can't be reserved. Tell the staff at the door you're a group and they'll try to seat you together.

Is there a bar? Cash or card?

Yes, there's a bar and lounge. It takes cash and card.

Is there food?

No. Errol Street, two minutes away, has plenty of places to eat.

How do I get there?

Tram 57 to Stop 11 (Errol St & Victoria St), or a 15-minute walk from North Melbourne Station. Street parking on Raglan St and Leveson St. Map
